What Sold On Mercari -- August 2019

Hey friends!

So to start off this year I was super excited to drop income reports every month because I JUST KNEW I WAS GOING TO KILL IT every month when it came to bringing in those dollar bills. Turns out that’s not exactly what happened and I got super discouraged but it’s okay! The year isn’t over yet.

Instead of doing a full-on income report this month I thought I would keep it simple and show you guys what sold on my favorite closet-clearing app, Mercari. If you guys want to know more about how to sell your clothes and make money to can check out my e-book, Get Rid Of It, here.

So— my Mercari sales were far from poppin this month but I wanted to show you guys what a pretty chill month of sales looks like for me (meaning very little to no effort)

This month I made 8 sales on the app. Here’s what sold:

After I made my MASSIVE Eyeshadow Collection video I just could not hold on to that many eyeshadow palettes for too much longer. Originally I thought I would give them away but no one mentioned wanting one so I thought, what the hay! let’s just sell them at an extremely low price. And that’s what I did. In my brain it was better to just get rid of them and let someone else get joy from them rather than them sitting in my house collecting dust because I can’t get over how much I paid for them.

Anywho— here’s what you guys came for:

What looks like $123 is actually $75.95

I know — shocking, a $47.05 difference, whaaat? Well when you account selling and shipping fees that’s not too bad. Essentially it costs me about $6 per item to ship + sell on the platform, and I’m okay with that. A lot of people would get discouraged by the profit vs revenue but I’m not. This is $75 more than I had at the beginning of the month and I’m freeing up space while making money. It’s a win-win situation (to me).
